As a trained dancer in her youth, Elizabeth Beemer, PT, MPT, Cert. MDT, was no stranger to getting hurt. After a few dance related injuries, she had to receive treatment from a therapist in order to heal properly. It was during this time that she was first exposed to physical therapy.

Having an affinity for science, coupled with a desire to help people live better lives, Elizabeth realized physical therapy was the field she was meant to be in. Intent on becoming a PT, she first gained knowledge of the human body and its movements by earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Michigan. She later earned her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Today, Elizabeth is a physical therapist at Methodist Physicians Clinic.

Elizabeth loves her job and is dedicated to rehabilitating people. Since no two conditions are the same, her mission is to create individualized treatment plans for her patients. She focuses on each person’s goals and how she can help achieve them as well as working to return their functions to the highest level they are capable of.

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys staying active. A lover of fine arts, she enjoys dancing and serves on the Board of Directors for the Omaha Modern Dance Collective. She also loves to continuously improve her physical fitness through yoga.
