Growing up, there was never a moment of doubt in Dr. Christine Carlson Rahn’s mind of whether she would be a doctor or not. Her mother and father both worked in the medical field, so Dr. Carlson Rahn spent her childhood reading her parents’ medical books. Fascinated by the mysteries and complexities of science, she wanted to learn more. She decided to follow in her parents’ footsteps and would later embark on her own journey to become a doctor.
Equipped with an interest in family practice, Dr. Carlson Rahn completed medical school at the University of South Dakota’s School of Medicine and Health Sciences. She later completed her residency at Clarkson Family Medicine. Today, she is a family medicine doctor at Methodist Physicians Clinic.
Dr. Carlson Rahn likes the wide scope of medicine. She enjoys interacting with people, ranging from toddlers to the geriatric population, and strives to provide exceptional care to all. Much like in her youth, she still enjoys researching medicine, often keeping up to date with new health information as well as new medications.
When not caring for patients, Dr. Carlson Rahn enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also likes staying active by participating in activities such as ice hockey, outdoor sports, working out, and traveling.
