Why Methodist?

At Methodist, we pride ourselves on our state-of-the-art imaging technology and experienced multidisciplinary diagnostic teams that work collaboratively to accurately interpret each scan and image. Our team is specially trained to put inpatient and outpatient imaging patients at ease, and we proudly participate in the Image Wisely and Image Gently initiatives, which support radiation safety and protection for adults and children.

State-of-the-Art Care

Digital PET Technology

This novel technology comes with far better image quality than analog PET, allowing providers to more easily detect disorders and disease. Methodist Health System was first in the state to offer digital PET scans, which produce accurate results in a short amount of time, resulting in greater patient safety and satisfaction.

High-field Open MRI

This machine is the widest, most open high-field MRI system available. Its open design makes for increased patient comfort, especially for those who suffer from claustrophobia. (This technology is available at Methodist HealthWest.)

Methodist Mobile 3D Mammography Coach

This coach serves as the area’s first and only 3D screening tool on wheels. Traveling to area businesses and organizations, the coach provides busy employees and those in underserved neighborhoods convenient access to digital computer-aided detection (CAD) technology in a private, comfortable environment.
